Debbie Stevens, Preschool Writer
A Texas native, Debbie Stevens has served churched in Texas and Tennessee. Currently, Debbie feels abundantly blessed to minister to individuals and families in her position as Ministry Assistant to the Pastor at First Baptist Church of Plano, Texas. She also teaches private piano lessons, accompanies choirs of all ages, and is a member of the teaching staff at Worship Quest at The Heights in Richardson, Texas.
Debbie and her husband, Scott, have enjoyed ministering together in churches for 29 years. Debbie and Scott have raised two children — Tanner and Annie.
Keith Watson, Younger Children Writer
Keith Watson is the Associate Minister of Music at First Baptist Church of Columbia, South Carolina, where he works with music groups of all ages from preschool through senior adults. Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, Keith moved to South Carolina in 1990 by way of Texas, married Leigh, a Columbia native and love of his life, and became the proud father of two wild and wonderful boys, Will and Forbes.
His favorite activities include eating yellow barbecue, attending his sons’ soccer games, watching war movies, and doing the ice cream and cake dance with a room full of children. However, eating ice cream and cake is always a welcome option.
Debbie Rice, Older Children Writer
Debbie Rice has been Children’s Choir Coordinator at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama, for over 30 years. She has led music leadership conferences and Young Musicians camps in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and North Carolina. She has years of music-teaching experience in public and private elementary schools in Mississippi and Alabama, most recently at St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Mobile, Alabama.
Debbie and her husband, Michael, have two sons, Garrett and Brandon, two granddaughters, Marielle and Emily, and the master of the house — Cooper, a springer spaniel.
